Mary Ann Nelson Obituary
Mary Ann Nelson passed away Friday, November 29th at the Dells Nursing and Rehab Center in Dell Rapids SD. Mary Ann was born May 21, 1938 to Lawrence and Prima (Ginsbach) Elsinger in Dell Rapids SD.
Per Mary Ann’s wish, a private burial will be held at later date in St. Mary Cemetery.
After college, Mary Ann married Paul Nelson and they made their home in Groton SD where she fulfilled her passion of teaching until retirement then moved to Worthing SD. A few years after Paul’s passing in 2004, Mary Ann resided back in Dell Rapids.
She is survived by brother Gerald (Sharon) Elsinger, Dell Rapids, sister-in-laws Jean (Ken) Elsinger, Wilmot SD , Nance (Roger) Elsinger, Alburquerque, NM, brother-in-law Roger Nelson, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann is preceded in death by her husband, parents and four siblings.
