Kristie Marie Corum Emerson, 67, of Shepherdsville passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2024.

She was a 1975 graduate of Presentation Academy, retired from Curtis 1000 and was a small business owner for many years.

She was born on October 2, 1957 to the late Alvin Donald Corum, Sr. and Joe Ann Snawder Corum.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, John Richard Emerson, Sr.; and sons, Timothy Michael and Joseph Patrick Emerson.

She is survived by her son, John R. Emerson, Jr. (Laura Elizabeth Mayor); daughter, Jill Marie Dennison (Chad Damon Dennison); sister, Donna J. Corum; brothers, Michael P. Corum and Dusty Corum (Suzanne); granddaughters, Lily Marie Dennison and Ella Joe Dennison, who were the love of her life and whom she adored and loved with her whole heart; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other loving family members and many, many friends.

Her visitation will be from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Monday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home 3800 Bardstown Road. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
