Barbara R. Anderson of St. Paris, 82 passed away early Thursday, November 28, 2024, at her daughter’s residence.

Barbara was born on December 13, 1941, in Troy, OH, daughter of the late George and Leah (Dutton) Bourelle.

A loving mother and caregiver all her life, Barbara’s strength of character coupled with her loving and giving heart is her legacy to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Never one for lengthy goodbyes, Barbara announced the morning before her death that she needed to get up, get dressed and go. Less than a day later Jesus completed his good work in her, and with her daughter by her side she quietly left this earth.

Barbara is survived by her beloved children, Rebecca (Fred) Laplant, Julie (Jon) Kubler, Cara (Sherwin) De La Cruz, Scott (Stacey) Anderson, Georgia (Greg) Burton, Nine grandchildren Logan Laplant, Josh (Valerie) Laplant, Stacie (George) Trace, Lindsey (David) Fouser, Alex Herzog, Haley Anderson, Seth Anderson, Jakeb (Danielle) Woodrum and Kami Woodrum; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandson; siblings, Ronald (Roberta) Bourelle of Brookville and Linda Bourelle White Seigfried of VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Marvin "Bud" Bourelle, Alice "Sally" Lewis, George "Sonny" Bourelle, Margaret Whitmoyer, and Wilda Lee "Lee Lee" Torok.

Never one for fanfare Barbara requested no viewing or funeral service. Even in death she gave us one last example of her incredible yet tough love and made sure we would always remember and celebrate her life with Thanksgiving.

A private inurnment ceremony will be held on a later date.
