Kathleen "Mrs. C" Cook Obituary

   Mrs. Kathleen Rigney "Mrs. C" Cook, 89, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Southern Living Specialty Care Residency in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Wayne County, MS on Friday, August 30, 1935, to the late Dewey Winston and Ada Catherine Rigney. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

   Mrs. Cook is preceded in death by her husband, Chester Ray Cook, Sr.; parents, Dewey Winston and Ada Catherine Rigney; brother, James Thomas "J. T." Rigney; granddaughter, Angela "Angel" Cook. She is survived by three children, Chester Ray "Ray" Cook, Jr. (Elaine) of Waynesboro, MS, Lesia Kay Davis (Kenny) of Buckatunna, MS, and Winston Clinton "Clint" Cook (Tracy) of Turnerville, AL; two sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Martin (Don) of Walker, LA and Nadine Lowery of Chunchula, AL; Sister-In-Law, Ann Lovelace of Waynesboro, MS; five grandchildren, Amy Ralls, Chester Ray "Trey" Cook, III, Jennifer Rene White (Matthew "Matt"), Olivia Raye Cook , and Jeremy Myles Davis; five great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Elise Ralls, Kathryn Nicole Ralls, Sebastian Ray Cook, Alyssa Jade Cook, and Griffin Baylor White; a host of nieces and nephews.

   Funeral Service for Mrs. Cook will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Paul Harris and Rev. Michael Stevenson officiating. Interment will be in Waynesboro Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS. Pallbearers are Jay Hutto, Chuck Hardee, Brad Smith, Kenny Odom, Bill Harrison, and Albert Busby.
