Mabel Catherine Suggs Arney Obituary

Mrs. Mabel Suggs Arney, 82, of Thomasville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Trellis Supportive Care, Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.  She was born on March 13, 1942 in Davidson County, NC to Sanford Milton Suggs, Sr. and Ruth Marion Parrish Suggs.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Lee Arney on July 28, 2018; and her sister, Elsieohn Suggs Stewart.

Surviving is her son, Jeff Arney and wife Amanda of Madison, NC; three grandchildren, Caitlin, Landon, and Justin; brother, Sanford Milton Suggs, Jr. and wife Freida of Thomasville; sisters, Barbara Suggs Faircloth and husband Dale of Thomasville and Marlene Suggs Ritchie of Rockmart, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Terry Boles officiating.  The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.  A private inurnment will be held at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.  Online condolences may be sent to www.jcgreenandsons.com.
