With heavy hearts we share the passing of Perry Edison Sarty, 57, of Bridgetown, who had a brief battle with Mesothelioma. He passed at home surrounded by his family on November 27, 2024. Born April 11, 1967 in Annapolis Royal. He was the son of Eddie and Rosie (Gregory) Sarty.
Perry was a hard dedicated worker with many occupations; As he would say he was a jack of all trades but a master of none. From working at Wade’s Grocery Store in Annapolis, The Monitor Office in Bridgetown, Thompson’s and Hoyt’s Moving Companies, Frasers, among many more. His last two places of employment were A.M. Jazey’s where he worked for over 12 years with Jim Mann and Kevin Kaulbach, and was proud to be a part of that family-owned business. For the past ten plus years he worked at Bridgetown Auto Service, formally Everett and Smith’s; Where the people he worked with were not just co-workers but good friends. Here he spent many late nights working with Larry on their special projects.
Perry felt his greatest accomplishments were his children, who he was very proud of and loved very much; He was also proud of his grandson Edwin and loved taking him for four-wheeler rides during his visits. Perry’s two favourite places were the Mancave where if the lights were on everyone was welcomed; and the camp where he loved spending quality time with his family.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Kinsman and Lottie Gregory, Roland and Rena Sarty, Father-in-law Leroy Ring, along with many aunts and uncles. He was survived by his loving wife Shirley Lowe-Sarty; children, Dustin (Sara), Kara-Ann (Nathaniel), Jenna (Nicholas); grandson, Edwin as well as grand fur babies Max and Mya; parents, Eddie and Rosie Sarty; mother-in-law, Mera Ring; siblings, Lisa (Phillip) Sarty, Edison Sarty, and brother-in-law, Scott (Rosetta) Ring, along with Aunt Lunetta (Eric) Hudson, and many nieces and nephews. Following Perry’s wishes cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, in Bridgetown. There will be an informal celebration for Perry on Saturday, November 30th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Bridgetown Fire Hall. Donations made in memory can be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
