Mrs. Gloria Zellars Jones of Lincolnton, Georgia was born January 22, 1960, to the late Roy Lee and Lessie Maude Freeman Zellars. She transitioned peacefully from earth to her eternal home on November 28, 2024, at Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.

She attended Lincoln County High School. She was a faithful member of Parks Grove FBH Church until her health failed. She loved getting on the conference calls every Sunday morning and she would always enjoy the services on Sundays and Wednesday night Bible Study. She loved listening to the Praise Team sing. She was a giver, and she supported the church when she could come, and she loved people.

She was preceded in death by her husband, JD Jones, Jr.; a daughter, Sherry Jones; her siblings, Peggy Felts, Patsy Tanksley, Lessie Ivey, Robert Zellars, Frank Zellars, Floyd Zellars, Sr. and Ralph Zellars.

She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Terrance Jones of Graniteville, South Carolina and Barry Jones of Milledgeville, Georgia; daughters, April Jones of Grovetown, Georgia and Cathy Jones of Washington, Georgia; brothers, Jessie (Tyronica) Zellars, George “Randy” Zellars and Robert Zellars all of Lincolnton, Georgia; and Jessie (Sharon) Huff of Washington, Georgia; sisters, Lillie Zellars of Lincolnton, Georgia; Angie Zellars and Kisher Davis of Washington, Georgia; a devoted grandson, Keith Jones of Lincolnton, Georgia; brother in law, Jessie Jones of Lincolnton, Georgia; sister in law, Betty Jones Williams of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
