Angelina C. Thornburg Obituary

Angelina Caroline Lima Thornburg passed away on November 27th at Cedar Bay West. Angie was born in 1930 to Joseph and Grace Lima in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She met her future husband, Harold, at the end of World War II. They were married in 1947 in South Bend, Indiana. They moved to Wisconsin in 1953 when Harold joined the West Bend Aluminum Company. The couple had six children. Angie was a stay-at-home mom, enjoying raising the children in their formative years.

In 1975, she purchased The Candyman with Harold. Angie and Harold immensely enjoyed running The Candyman and interacting with the kids and adults. Many local adults have fond memories from the store as children. They sold the business in 1989, when they both retired. Angie and Harold both enjoyed traveling and visited over 39 states.

Angie kept busy over the years doing community service with Christian Mother’s Society, Meals on Wheels and many various other organizations. Angie joined the Lioness Club in 1990 and proudly served as President multiple times.

Angie enjoyed playing BINGO and canasta, visits to the Fireside Theatre and especially beating her son, Chris in cards.

Angie is survived by her 4 children: Diana (Gary) Kirst of Kewaskum, Debbie Nickel of Colorado, Leroy Thornburg of West Bend and Chris Thornburg of Illinois, her son-in-law Ken Feucht of Kewaskum, and 4 grandchildren: Scott Kannass, Jason Seiser, Brian Feucht and Laurie Batten.
