Linda Kay Anderson, 73, passed away peacefully at her home in Douglas on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, with her loving daughter and niece at her bedside. Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, cherished by all who knew her.
Linda was born Friday, August 17, 1951, in Douglas, Wyoming, the daughter of John Allen and Carol Lea (Thompson) Lambert. A proud graduate of the class of 1969, Linda continued her education at a small community college until falling in love. Linda was married in 1971 and went on to have three amazing children, John, Beth, and Charles, whom she deeply loved. She spent most of her life as a proud resident of Douglas, Wyoming, where she held various business administrative jobs. Linda retired in 2005 to enjoy quality time with her loved ones.
With a vibrant personality and a warm heart, Linda was known for her deep love of Elvis Presley, the Denver Broncos, and the color purple. Her kindness, generosity, and infectious laughter touched the lives of everyone around her. Family was her world; she was a constant source of love and support to her children and grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her children, John Wayne (Shane) Anderson of Hudson, Wisconsin, Charles Allen (Christina) Anderson of Casper, Wyoming, and Lea Beth Pirnie of Douglas; brother, Ron (Donna) Lambert of Douglas; grandchildren, Shyann Bennett, Kody Bennett, Hannah Honeycutt, Joel Anderson, Jackson Anderson, Ethan Anderson, and Koren Anderson; and niece Gena Lambert and her daughter, Gracie Lambert of Douglas.
She was preceded in death by her father, John, on May 19, 2008; mother, Carol, on January 14, 2017; and granddaughter, Kora Jean Anderson.
Funeral services for Linda will be held on Wednesday December 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Gorman Funeral Homes-Converse Chapel in Douglas, Wyoming, with Pastor Sara Phillippi of The Gathering officiating. Interment will take place in the Douglas Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Serving as pallbearers will be John Anderson, Chuck Anderson, Kody Bennett, Ethan Anderson, Koren Anderson, and Joel Anderson, with all family and friends serving as honorary pallbearers. A gathering to celebrate Linda’s life will follow the service at the LaBonte Longhorn Room.
Linda's legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Central Wyoming Hospice, 809 South Ninth Street, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
