On Wednesday, November 27th, 2024, Myrtle Lee Boggess, 89 of Eleanor celebrated her homecoming surrounded by her family. She was a 1953 graduate of Buffalo High School. Myrtle loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship in Buffalo. She was a devoted mother who dedicated her life to loving and supporting her family. To all who knew Myrtle, her life stands as a testimony to the goodness of God, his faithfulness, and a godly example for all to follow.
Born January 27th, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Dean and Vernie Allen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James L. Boggess; daughters, Rhonda J. Jividen and Lori J. Waugh; companion, William “Bill” Smith; six brothers and five sisters.
Myrtle is survived by her son, William (Missy) Boggess of Buffalo; daughter, LeeAnn (Stoner) Burkhammer of Poca; son, Paul (Andy) Boggess of Buffalo; 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by one sister, Linda (John) Harris of Eleanor, many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and church family.
Funeral service to celebrate the life of Myrtle Lee Boggess will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30th, 2024, at Raynes Funeral Home in Eleanor with Pastor Paul Boggess officiating. Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery in Eleanor. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
