COLUMBIA – Beverly Jean Mixon Driggers-McKnight, 72, wife of Robert Allen McKnight, died Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Prisma Health Richland.
Born September 18, 1952, in Charleston, she was a daughter of the late Garris Mixon and the late Mary Jo Freeman Mixon. She was a member of Charwood Baptist Church and the Jubilant Singers Senior Choir.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years of Columbia; three children, Harry Edward White (Yuni) of Anchorage, AK, Charles Gregory White of Knoxville, TN and Patricia White Driggers of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Driggers, Jenna Leigh Driggers-Briles (Caleb), David Deleon Driggers, Jaelyn Leanne Driggers, Jordyn Lily Driggers, Bubba Robert Driggers and Emma Claire White; two sisters, Joan Whitlock (Lance) of Georgia and Mary Matthews of Conway; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Hardy; and two brothers, Harvin Mixon and Dreyfus Mixon.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2024, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Livingston officiating. Burial will follow at Terrell’s Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery, 1109 New Zion Highway, Lake City.
Pallbearers will be Ed White, Gregg White, Caleb Briles, Marvin Strain, Teddy Kelly, David Driggers and Bubba Driggers.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home.
