Miss Emily A. Kipiel, 27, a resident of Kingston, passed into eternal life unexpectedly Tuesday morning at her residence, leaving her family in shock and heartbroken.
Born on Friday, June 6, 1997 in the former Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston, Emily was the daughter of Shelley L. Kipiel and beloved step-daughter of Bruce Montigney, at home.
Emily was a 2015 graduate of the former Elmer L. Meyers Memorial High School, South Wilkes-Barre. Following her graduation, she took several college courses at King’s College, Wilkes-Barre.
She was employed by the T.J. Maxx warehouse distribution center in Pittston Township.
Having a loving and caring spirit, in her spare time, Emily enjoyed doing acts of charity. She thoroughly took pleasure in helping the less fortunate in this life. She also had an affinity for the beauty of flamingos.
Emily was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Thomas and Sharon (Dow) Kipiel.
She will be forever loved and missed by her mom Shelley and step-dad Bruce, along with her brother Sagan Skillens, all at home in Kingston; along with her aunt Kitty Jo Dow-McDermott, her uncle Brian McDermott of Concordville, PA and her uncle Alan Dow of Aston, PA; several cousins, fellow co-workers and dear friends.
