Wanda May Tiller, age 90, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 5:56 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the Lawrence County Manor in Mt. Vernon. She was born August 15, 1934, in Strafford, Missouri, the daughter of Carl Richard and Lilly May (Wheatley) Sneed.

Wanda was a 1952 graduate of Republic High School in Republic, Missouri and attended Draughon’s Business College in Springfield, Missouri. She worked in the laundry department at the Lawrence County Manor for 30 years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and was a member of the Round Grove Baptist Church.

On December 1, 1953, she married Claude Willis Tiller, in Harrison, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on April 6, 2011.

Wanda is survived by her children, Larry (Earlene) Tiller of Mounds, Oklahoma, Kayla (Will Stubblefield) Tiller, of Stotts City, Missouri, Dan (Bertha) Tiller of Big Cabin, Oklahoma, Jeff (Lisa) Tiller of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jim (Terri) Tiller, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Steve (Ann) Tiller of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Lisa Newhart of Springfield, Missouri, Bill (Kathy) Tiller of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; one brother, Johnny Sneed of Springfield, Missouri; one sister, Edna (Paul) Dean of Republic, Missouri; 39 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Carl, and Lilly; her husband, Claude; eight siblings and one grandson, Craig Tiller.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, with burial to follow at the Round Grove Cemetery, west of Miller, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2024, in the funeral home chapel.
