BISMARCK - Bonnie Laverne Jones, a cherished mother, sister, and friend passed away on November 26, 2024, at Southbrook in Farmington at the age of 87. She was born on July 10, 1937, in Bismarck, Missouri, to the late Hollie and Donna (Willhite) Young.

Bonnie leaves behind a legacy through her children, Gerald Jones, Harold Jones, and Darryl Jones; her brothers, Donald (Jean) Young and Charles Young; her sister, Peggy (Bob) Lewis; her close friends, Jan and Butch Price, and their son, Steve. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and her loving church family.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Floyd Jones; her parents, Hollie and Donna (Willhite) Young; her sister, Betty Gibson; and her sister-in-law, JoAnn Young.

Bonnie dedicated her life to nurturing others as a nursing assistant in long-term care facilities for many years. Her passion for caring for those in need extended beyond her professional life, and she brought warmth and compassion to everyone she met.

Bonnie was a devoted member of the Charity Landmark Missionary Baptist Church for more than 40 years, where she spent much of her time cultivating relationships that would last a lifetime. Her efforts to sponsor children in Haiti showcased her commitment to affecting change and providing opportunities for the less fortunate. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and made it a point to watch every game. She will be profoundly missed, and her light will continue to shine brightly through the lives of those she touched.

A visitation will be held at Charity Landmark Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Lee Miller officiating. Bonnie will be laid to rest next to her husband at Masonic Cemetery in Bismarck.
