Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette for Lucille Troy Broussard, age 86, who passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at her home in Youngsville. The family requests that visitation be observed on Monday at Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE location from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of services. A Rosary will be recited on Monday at 7:00 PM by Deacon Todd McKee in the funeral home.

Entombment will be held in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum in Lafayette, immediately following the service.

Reverend William Schambough will officiate the funeral service.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Euphamend "E.J." Broussard, Jr.; her children, John C. Landry, Jr. and wife Beverly, Susan Bourque and husband Darryl Bourque, Sr., and Mary Matt Degataire; her grandchildren, Amy B. Guidry, Renee' Landon, Darryl Bourque, Jr., Shane Matt, and Lance Landry; her great grandchildren, Mercedes G. Primeaux, Tristin Bourque, Zackary Bourque, Payton Barras, Kairi and Fiona Landon, and Jake and Emma Landry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine Tortorice Troy and Tony Troy; and her siblings, Vincent Troy, Angie Troy Blanchard, Jane Troy Roberts, Salvador Troy, Martin Troy and Ben Troy.

Lucille was retired having worked for the Lafayette Parish School System as a cafeteria manager and dietician. She and her husband loved traveling together after they retired, having ventured across America, Canada, Alaska, and even overseas to Italy. She loved cooking and sewing, her family enjoyed her delicious meals and her friends cherished her hand sewn gifts she blessed many with. She will be deeply missed and always loved.

Pallbearers will be Darryl Bourque, Sr., Darryl Bourque, Jr., Doug Guidry, Mitch Armentor, Shane Matt, and Lance Landry.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Landry, Jr., and Drew DeRouen.

Special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Acadiana, Kyla DeRouen, Brittany LeBlanc, Amy Guidry, and the Broussard's neighbors for their compassion, care, and meals they gave during Lucille's time of need.
