Natalie J. Walter

Natalie J. Walter, age 87 of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at her home. She was born Wednesday, September 2, 1931 in Hagerstown, MD, the daughter of the late William and Grace (Sellers) Peterson. Natalie graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1950. She enjoyed golfing at Penn National with the nine-holers ladies golf group. She and her husband, Ned, traveled throughout the world. Taking cruises was her favorite way of travel. Her first husband, Charles P. Sanders, passed in 1969. Her second husband, Ned M. Walter passed September 23, 2015. She is survived by two daughters, Karen S. and husband Michael Yingling of Fairfield, Kimberly J. and husband Joe Detwiler of Boonsboro, MD, two sons, Charles and wife Sindy Sanders of Fayetteville, and Steven Sanders of Great Falls, MT, step-son Michael and wife Angela Walter of Hedgesville, WV, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one sister, Betty McAllister of Hagerstown, MD, half -brother Elmer Selby, Jr. of Swanton, MD and half-sister Joyce Fuhrman of Hagerstown, MD. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 26 at Dugan Funeral Home with Reverend Eloise M. Shanley officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until time of services. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Arendtsville. Memorial contributions may be made to Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road W, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
