David Wayne Lapole, Sr. passed away on the 27th of November, 2024, at the age of 65, in his lifelong hometown of Hagerstown, MD. Born on January 3, 1959, he was the son of the late Wilbert Lee and Henrietta (Berger) Lapole.

David's heart was most fulfilled in the company of his beloved family. He is survived by his son, David Lapole, Jr., and his wife, Taylor; his daughter, Brianna Corn, and her husband, Shawn; his loving life partner, Rosalee Renner; and grandchildren, Brenton Lapole, Willow Corn, Elayna Corn, Garrett Renner, Logan Renner, Deryk Wolfe, and Brianna Wolfe. His joy was further multiplied by his great-grandchildren, Theodore and Maverick Renner. David also leaves behind his brothers, William, Dennis, and Richard, along with a host of caring nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Chester Lapole, and nephew, "Tommy" Lapole.

A 1977 graduate of South Hagerstown High School, David demonstrated a strong work ethic throughout his career, which included employment at Victor Products, Electromat, Frick Corporation (Johnson Controls in Waynesboro), and Grove Manufacturing.

An enthusiast of car shows, David shared his love of vehicles with friends and family alike, creating memories to last a lifetime. He also enjoyed peaceful days spent fishing and really cherished his family’s beach vacations.

The funeral will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Ken Harris will officiate.
