Bradley Carl Brode, 69, of Masontown, WV, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at J.W. Ruby Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born in Long Beach, CA on May 18, 1955, a son of the late George R. Brode and Betty Jo (Clayton) Tenney of Masontown, WV.
He graduated from Mary Vale High School Class of 1972 in Phoenix, AZ. Brad proudly served his country in the US Navy. After a severe motorcycle accident in 1988, Brad retired from his manufacturing position at AT&T. Even through his struggles he never let himself become bitter. He enjoyed 4-wheelers and going out riding them. Brad was greatly loved by his mother and stepfather.
In addition to his mother, Bradley is survived by his stepfather, Frank Tenney; two children, Matthew Brode of Yuma, AZ and Amanda Williams of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren, Casey Brode, Aryn Brode, Jamison Brode, Alana Williams and Malina Williams; four nieces, Alexe Brode, Sammy Brode, Kemper Brode and Melissa Jo McDilda Bachman and husband, Tyler; nephew, Davey McDilda and significant other, Stacey; two step brothers, Gregg Tenney and Brad Tenney; one brother-in-law, Dave McDilda; an aunt, Diana Gibson; uncle, Michael Clayton; many cousins and his beloved dog, Cuddles.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by one brother, Richard R. Brode; one sister, Lori Jo Brode McDilda; grandparents, Nellie and Raymond Clayton; aunt and uncle, June and Mose Stalnaker and uncle, Harold Gibson.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 11 am until the 1 pm time of service with Pastors Terry Hagedorn and William Winston officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Preston County Honor Guard. Interment will be in Montana Mines Cemetery in Marion County.
