June Hulse Newman, 94, resident of Wesley Commons, widow of James Burke Newman, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Wesley Commons Assistant Living Facility.


Born June 3, 1930, in Marquette KS, she was a daughter of the late Cleophus Fredrick Hulse and Vella Rhoney Hulse. Mrs. Newman was a graduate of Marquette High School and attended Kansas State University.


She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.


Surviving are a son, Jeffry (Brenda) Newman of Denver, NC; three daughters, Jo Ellen (John) McMahan of Aiken, SC, Janelle (Steve) Price of Alexandria, VA, and Jennifer (Harold) Brown of Denver, NC; eight grandchildren, Stacey Farnsworth, Suzanne McKillop, Jason Newman, Joseph Newman, Michelle Recchion, Ben Newman, Christine Carroll, and Jonathan Carroll; and nine great-grandchildren.


In addition to her parents and husband of 49 years, Mrs. Newman was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawerence Hulse and Robert Hulse.


A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at St. Mark United Methodist Church with Rev. Jason Wilson officiating.


The family will receive friends following the service.
