Ernesto "Ernie" Palacios

Ernesto “Ernie” Palacios, was born in Texas in 1930 and died at home in Virginia Beach, VA, Saturday, October 20, 2018. He served twenty years in the U.S. Air Force, and after his retirement worked in the private sector. He was employed with Civil Service and retired from NARDAC. He founded a company, Computer Systems International, which he sold when he turned seventy. Ernie was a member of Virginia Beach Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Berkley Masonic Lodge 136, and a former member of Khedive Shrine, Legion of Honor. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rosalie, and leaves behind Jennie, his wife of twenty-eight years; daughters Debra Rogers (Peter), Jody Miller (Brian), Leslie Palacios (Ed Schwartz); son, Ray Sterling (Sarah); granddaughters, Erica Gallagher, Reed Miller, Heather Sterling, Amy Goforth, Rita Johnson, and also one little girl who made him laugh and whom he adored, Allie McCain. There will be a visitation Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 1264 N. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 12 p.m. at Virginia Beach Christian Church located on N. Great Neck Road and Rose Hall Drive. Memorial donations to Shriners Hospital for Children, c/o 645 Woodlake Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23320 would be greatly appreciated.
