Billy Clinton McQueen, age 88, of Oakland, Illinois, died November 26, 2024, at Newman Rehabilitation and Healthcare.

Billy was born October 29, 1936, in Hindsboro, Illinois, to Roy and Mildred (Trimble) McQueen. He married Jo Ann Hale on July 16, 1955; she preceded him in death in 2019.

Billy was an avid outdoorsman and loved shooting sports. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, and the NRA. He previously worked at Dekalb Agriseed, later owned McQueen Homes, and most recently owned and operated Olde Barn Sporting Clays in Oakland.

He is survived by three children: Stephen McQueen of Oakland, Illinois, Mark McQueen (Melissa) of Stilwell, KS, and Angie Minear (Bob) of Tuscola, IL; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara.

Visitation will be held at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland, IL on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Billy’s honor may be made to Lincoln Heritage Pheasants Forever Young Guns Shooting Team.
