Patsy Ann Ingram Tyler, 72, passed away on November 26, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Ralph and Virginia Ingram.
Patsy spent most of her life in Webster County, deeply connected to the close-knit Alva community where she grew up surrounded by family and laughter. A devoted member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church, her faith was a guiding force throughout her life.
She was a member of Eupora High School’s Class of 1970 and went on to attend Holmes Community College, where she first trained as a cosmetologist. Later, inspired by her mother’s example, Patsy pursued a career in nursing. While raising her three children—Liz, Lora, and Scott—she earned her nursing degree and dedicated more than 35 years to the profession. Patsy was still employed full-time at Diversicare of Eupora, where her compassion and commitment left a lasting impact on everyone she cared for.
Family was at the heart of Patsy’s life. Her children treasure memories of trips to the Bellefontaine Store in her Pinto, Sunday night popcorn, and making Mama’s famous fudge. Patsy could fuss at you and love you all at once, leaving everyone she touched feeling cared for and cherished. Patsy was a dreamer whose infectious laughter could light up any room. A true animal lover, she adored her two dogs, Mrs. Baby and Clude, who were more like family to her. Whether she was shopping with loved ones, sharing stories, or preparing a home-cooked meal, Patsy’s home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and love. She had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcome and special, and her generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Virginia Miles Ingram, and her granddaughter, Megan Riley. She is survived by her son, Scott Tyler (Courtney) of Eupora; daughters Elizabeth Rico (Ricky) of Eupora and Lora Booth (David) of Starkville; her brother, Douglas Ingram (Patricia) of Eupora; grandchildren Axle Shane Tyler, Ava Scott Tyler, Kody Knight, Logan Rico, Brandi Johnson (Field) of Maben, Traci Holloway (Greg) of Nashville, TN, Katelyn Parker (Keith), Bryson Rodgers (Savannah), Sallie Booth of Knoxville, Sadie Burgess (John) of Starkville, Abbie Booth of Charleston, SC; and great-grandchildren Adalyn Knight, Valerie Sorrell, Leyton Rodgers, Harper Gore, Briceton Johnson, RiLeigh Kate Johnson, Leyton Johnson, Cruz Holloway, and Mattie Grace Holloway.
