Jo Ann Hawkins Thompson, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Rivers Bend Retirement Community in Kuttawa, KY.
Jo Ann was born on July 19, 1945 in Lyon County to the late Robert and Helen Stephens Hawkins. Jo Ann enjoyed gardening and shopping. Above all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She retired as a customer service representative for the Princeton Electric Plant Board. Jo Ann was a member of Lamasco Baptist Church.
Jo Ann is survived by her daughter, Robin (Jeff) Jones; son, Matt Cartwright; sister, Connie Robertson; six grandchildren, Ramsey (Chelsea) Hopper, Elijah (Jessie) Anderson, Gracie (Taylor) Curtis, Maggie (Joseph) Pelletier, Samm Peek and Jake (Tori) Jones; thirteen great grandchildren, Addi Hopper, Preston Peek, Chloe Hopper, Brooks Curtis, Beau Curtis, Hudson Jones, Harper Jones, Barrett Curtis, Elliot Anderson, Kit Pelletier, Ellis Anderson, Meredith Pelletier, Parker Pelletier; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jo Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Thompson; two sisters, Betty Jane Baird and Martha Kilgore; two brothers, Jackie Hawkins and Bobby Hawkins.
Visitation for Jo Ann Thompson will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Morgan's Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM at Morgan's Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Saratoga Cemetery in Lyon County.
