Felix Zarazua passed from this life peacefully from his home on November 27, 2024 at the age of 91.  He was born in Calvert, Texas on August 22, 1933, to Juan and Rosa Zarazua.   In 1956 he married his beloved wife Leonela in Roswell, New Mexico and they shared 60 years creating a beautiful life together. His charming personality and generous nature made him a friend of many. He attended St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and The Lubbock Dream Center.  He retired from the City of Lubbock Water Department as a supervisor. He had an entrepreneurial mindset and enjoyed real estate and home repair projects.  When relaxing, he could be found watching classic western movies. His comical comebacks and sense of humor were refreshing. Felix was much loved and always showed unconditional love to his grandchildren. 

Felix is survived by his daughters and their husbands Helen and Javier Zaragoza, Sally and Gilbert Arredondo, son-in-law Richardo Canales, son-in-law Frank Olivares, his brother Tomas Zarazua, and his beloved nephew Robert Garcia, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his wife Leonela, 2 daughters, a son, 2 grandsons, 8 brothers and his parents.

The family sincerely extends gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Dolores Reeder, Kayla Arnold, Herlinda Garcia, Alicia Rodriguez, Marie Aleman and Hospice of Lubbock for their unconditional love expressed to our father.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-9:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. At 7:00 family and friends will honor Felix with a tribute.

Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, December 3 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery.
