Doris Mae Fraley Newland, 84, of Scottville, formerly of Manistee, passed away on November 27, 2024.


Doris was born on March 26, 1940, the daughter of Grover Fike and Margaret Henry Fike. She graduated from Hazel Park High School in 1958. On June 16, 1958 she married Norman Edward Fraley.


Doris worked as a production worker at Four Star. She was a member of the Manistee Senior Center, and she loved casino trips, Bingo, Euchre, Kaleva Bottle House, and she was an avid supporter of St. Jude’s and Shriners! Doris really was a social butterfly. She loved to talk to anyone she encountered.


Doris is survived by her daughter, Sandra Fraley; granddaughters, Marie Fraley, Ahasia Dent, Breeanna Schlicker, and Ashley (Steve) Monteleone; grandson, Jason Fraley; great grandchildren, Tyler Fraley, Jonathan Smith, and Ethan Smith; and great-great grandchildren, Antonino Monteleone and Anna Monteleone.


She is Preceded in death by her husband, Norman Fraley; brother Bernard Fike; daughter, Laura Fraley; and son, Edward Fraley.
