Mary T. Heck, 97, formerly of Willow Grove, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, November 26, 2024. Born March 17, 1927, in Philadelphia, PA, Mary was the daughter of the late Martin and Susanna Schlacter.
Mary worked in manufacturing for Leeds and Northrup for over 20 years. In her later career, she worked in quality control for American Banknote Corporation. Mary was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Horsham, PA, where she volunteered regularly for over 50 years.
Mary loved reading a good mystery or romance novel, working on jigsaw puzzles, and watching TV, especially the Hallmark Channel. She was passionate about playing bingo and loved to make babka for family and friends at Easter time.
She is survived by her daughter Beverley Burger of Alburtis, PA, and her three grandchildren: Caroline Burger, Nathaniel Burger and Benjamin Heck.
Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul E. Heck Jr., her son, Brian P. Heck, and her seven brothers and two sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday November 30, 2024 at 10:30am at the Wayside Chapel at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002. A Funeral Service will follow at 11am.
Interment will be immediately after the service in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
