Inez L. Hincher Obituary

Inez L. Hincher, 74, of Wilkesboro went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 26, 2024. She passed away at Atrium Health-Wilkes Medical Center, peacefully with her family by her side after she fought a long hard battle with cancer. Inez loved her family and enjoyed baking for the Holidays, selflessly taking care of others and spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Jake R Hamby Sr. and Annie Ruth Hamby; brothers, Jake R Hamby Jr. and Steve Hamby.


Inez is survived by her husband, Billy Hincher of the home; son, Gary Hincher and wife Teresa of Moravian Falls, son, Michael Hincher and wife Brittany of Mulberry; one daughter, Kristen Colburn and husband Dustin of Millers Creek; one sister, Linda Cook of Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Brayden Hincher and Westen Hincher, Brooke Hincher, Kaylee Colburn and Luke Colburn. In addition, she is survived by nieces and nephews whom she treated as her own children.


She will be missed dearly. No service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9956.
