Josephine "Joey" Agnes Elrick, 87, died on October 20, 2018 at the Life Care Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born on June 25, 1931 in Emmetsburg, Iowa to Peter and Mary Elizabeth (Burke) Toal. Joey graduated from Presentation College in 1952 and began her nursing career. She loved being a nurse. Joey enjoyed simple pleasures; visiting with family, tending to her garden and caring for her pets. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Clyde Elrick; and her father and mother. Joey is survived by her three sons, Jim (Vickie) Elrick, Gary (Angie) Elrick, Jr. and Bob Elrick; and her five grandchildren, Mike, Bryant, Mitch, Jana, and Zach.
