Earl "Doody" Clemons Obituary

Earl “Doody” Clemons, age 86, of Jackson, Kentucky, beloved husband of the late Margie Turner Clemons, passed away, Saturday, October 20, 2018 at his residence. Earl was born on January 27, 1932 to the late Floyd and Violet (Truesdell) Clemons. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of Miller Branch Church, and a retired employee of Falcon Coal. He is survived by two daughters: Ruzettia “Chump” Sparks of Jackson, Kentucky; and Debbie Benton, also of Jackson, Kentucky; one son, Ricky Clemons of Jackson, Kentucky; one sister, Rena Catherine (Gerald) Fletcher of Jackson, Kentucky; one brother, William “Billy” Clemons of Highland Heights Kentucky; three grandchildren: Christopher Scott Dalton, Joshua Earl Frazier-Sparks, and Dustin Tyler Clemons; five great-grandchildren: Kelsie Thorpe, Rain Dalton, Autumn Dalton, Emily LeClear, and Matt Lovins; and many other loving relatives and friends. In addition to his wife, Margie Turner Clemons, and parents Floyd and Violet Clemons, Earl was also preceded in death by one sister, Alva Margarett Clemons; and one sister-in-law, Bobbie Clemons. Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 with Rev. Virgil Turner officiating. Earl will be laid to rest in the Jackson Cemetery in Jackson, Kentucky with Carl Frazier-Sparks, Andy Lewis, Sammie Turner, Gary Watkins, Virgil Bowling, and Alex Lewis serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018.
