It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laura Suzanne Berry, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who left us peacefully on November 26, 2024. She was 70 years of age. She was a member of Clinton First United Methodist Church and was the Office Manager for Dr. Bruce Smith.
Laura was known for her deep devotion to family and her fierce pride in the things she cherished most. Above all, she treasured her role as a mother and grandmother, finding immeasurable joy in watching her grandkids grow and thrive. Whether cheering them on at their sporting events or subbing in their classrooms, her support and love were unwavering.
A lifelong fan of all things Hickman County Falcons, Laura was known for her bubblegum at the scorers’ table. She was a fixture at games and a proud supporter of the local community. Her enthusiasm for the team was rivaled only by her love for the sun – she could often be found basking in its warmth, whether it was in her own backyard or at the lake she loved.
One of her most cherished roles was as Mrs. Claus. For many years, she brought joy to children and adults alike with her playful spirit. She loved reading to the kids with Santa and riding the firetruck in the parade.
Her love for family extended far beyond the holidays. She was the centerpiece of our family, always offering a listening ear or a helping hand. Her friendships were treasured and her laughter was a balm to all who knew her.
Laura leaves a legacy of kindness, joy and love that will continue to resonate in the lives of her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy & Claudia Berry, grandparents, Claude & Pearl Holland and Roy & Elizabeth Berry.
She is survived by her daughters, Betsy (Kyle) Hopwood of Symsonia, KY, Becky (Tyler) Morrow of Wingo, KY and Kady (Wade) Adams of Hickman, KY. Her greatest joys, her grandchildren, Keegan & Kinley Hopwood, Jase & Lane Morrow & Katherine & Caroline Adams. She is also survived by her sister Liz (Keith) Corbin of Fayetteville, GA and Jimbo (Jeana) Berry of Clinton, KY along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services and celebration of her life will be held 2 PM Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Brown Funeral Home in Clinton with Rev. Ricky Burton officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 10AM Saturday at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hickman County Booster Club, P.O. Box 138, Clinton, KY 42031.
