Ellen Cora Burke

Ellen Cora Burke, 84, of Morristown, NJ passed away peacefully on October 20, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 19, 1934 in Cork, Ireland and immigrated to the United States at the age of 16. Cora married James Burke in 1956. The couple raised their four children in Scotch Plains and later Queens Village, New York. She worked in various administrative jobs ending with a 25 year career at St. John’s University. Cora will be remembered as a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is predeceased by her husband Jim, son Jimmy, sisters Kathleen and Chrissy, and brother Joe. She is survived by her daughters Ellen Hynes (Michael), Erin Miro (Claudio), Maura Richholt (Dan) and her daughter-in-law, Denise Burke. All surviving are 9 grandchildren Erin Marr (Adam), Christopher Hynes (Keeley), Morgan Dziomba (Michael), Ryan and Connor Burke, Michaela, Devon and Leon Miro and Kara Richholt, as well as three great-grandchildren Hope Dziomba, Gavin Marr and Annabelle Hynes.
