Mrs. Kollene Highnote, 92, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at 3 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Golden Living Center Fountainview Terrace, La Porte. She was born August 17, 1926, in Wayne County, IA, to Everett and Wynema (Norman) Liggett. Mrs. Highnote was a co-owner of Wholesale Beverage Company, Susanville, CA. Kollene was a 1943 graduate of Seymour High School, Seymour, IA. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. Surviving are one son, Greg (Kathi) Highnote of CA; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert Highnote; one son, David Rans; two brothers, Robert and Gene Liggett; and three sisters, Ayliffe Pinkerton, Gertrude White and Shirley Rosenbaum.
