Elsa Baker of Harrisburg PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 20, 2018 at the age of 85. Elsa was born May 31, 1933 in Baltimore MD and was the daughter of the late; Sadie and Jack Eskridge. She is also preceded in death by her husband; David Baker and by her brother; Neal Eskridge. Elsa is survived by her loving cousins, two of which are Harry and Jean Tabor of MI, several nieces and nephews and by her many loving friends within the deaf community, Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, her many friends at the Capital Region R.S.V.P. and by the members of Chisuk Emuna Congregation, that loved her so. Elsa was retired from a long career working for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and received many state-wide awards from the Commonwealth for her extensive volunteer service. In addition to Elsas community involvement, she truly enjoyed collecting her Teddy Bears and her Beanie Babies. Donations in loving memory of Elsa can be made to the Chisuk Emuna Congregation, 3219 Green Street, Harrisburg PA 17110 and to the Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1701 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Services for Elsa will be held on Sunday, 10/21/2018 at 2PM at the Chisuk Emuna Cemetery Chapel, 10 North 34th Street (34th & Oliver Streets), Harrisburg PA 17109.
