Tommy "Red" Looker

Tommy “Red” Looker, 62, of Beardstown, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 at his home. He was born July 6, 1954 in Beardstown, the son of Billy Van and Delores McGovern Looker. He is survived by his children, Dustin (Mattie) Looker, Tyler (Carolina) Looker and Sarah (Matt O’Hara) Sutherland, all of Beardstown and Scott Sutherland of St. Louis; four grandchildren, Austin Looker, Kaler Looker and Jackson Looker, all of Beardstown and Madison Sutherland of Bethalto; his mother, Delores of Beardstown; one brother, Steve (Mary) Looker of Beardstown; two sisters, Dottie Chilton of Medford, OR and Becky (Kenny) Merriman of Beardstown; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Tim Looker. Mr. Looker was a 1972 graduate of Beardstown High School. He worked at Continental Grain for over 20 years and was currently employed with the City of Beardstown for over 15 years. He was a member of Beardstown Elks Lodge #1007. Red loved to dance and ride his Harley-Davidson. He had a passion for sports, especially following his beloved Cincinnati Reds, Minnesota Vikings, North Carolina Tar Heels and his hometown Beardstown Tigers. A Celebration of Life will be held 5 PM Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Beardstown Elks Lodge #1007 where a meal will be served following the service. Burial will be held at a later date.
