Mildred “Millie” DePoy DeLooze, 98, of Hattiesburg, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Merit Health Wesley. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Moore Hattiesburg Chapel with the visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow in Highland Cemetery.

Mrs. DeLooze was of the Methodist faith. She loved gardening, exercising, fishing, bowling, and traveling. Above all, she loved spending time with family and friends. She will be missed by so many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Blanche Taylor; her first husband, Rev. Thomas DePoy; her second husband, Thomas DeLooze; two sons, Marvin Eugene DePoy and Martin Allen DePoy; her daughter, Linda Kay Davis; one granddaughter, Christy Lynn Davis; and one son-in-law, Donnie Ray Davis.

She is survived by six grandchildren, Charity Nyswaner (Robert), Adam Wells (Fawn), Cortney Blades (Charlie), Jeremy Davis, Amber Nicole DePoy, and Taylor DePoy; two daughters-in-law, Sharon DePoy and Susan DePoy; eight great grandchildren, Sadie, Brenna, Destiny, Josiah, Justus, Jaxon, Catherine, and Benjamin; and three great-great grandchildren, Noah Cooper Grimsley, Holly Grimsley, and Emerie Grimsley.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staffs of Bellevue Assisted Living, Compassus Hospice, and Merit Health Wesley.
