Kenneth W. Specian, 64, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New Brunswick, NJ, on March 29, 1960, Ken grew up in Manville. For the past 17
years, he was a beloved and valued custodian of the Hamilton Township School District. He
also served at his children’s schools in several roles including the PTA President as well
as the play stage manager that brought the plays to life at Reynolds Middle School.
Ken was a devoted father, a proud grandfather, and a passionate sports fan. He cherished his role
as a coach for many of his children’s sports teams and took great joy in watching them succeed.
His love for sports extended to his loyalty to the New York Giants, New York Yankees, Notre
Dame Fighting Irish, New York Islanders, Chicago Cubs, and Washington Commanders. Ken’s
enthusiasm for the games was infectious, and he shared that love with his family.
A man of deep faith, Ken was a long-time parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church in
Hamilton Township, where he served as an usher. He was also a devoted member of St. Raphael
Holy Angels Parish in Hamilton. His commitment to his faith was a central part of his life, and he
always found peace in his spiritual community.
Ken was predeceased by his father, Leon, mother, Cecelia, and his beloved sister, Barbara Ann
Specian. He is survived by his three children, Holly (Robert) Scheuerman, Robin Suggs, and
Marc Specian; his granddaughter, Lily Suggs; his ex-wives, Karen Specian and Pasqualin
Adonizio; and his brothers Eugene (Sandy), Paul, and Larry (Jill) Specian. He is also survived by
his niece, Amy, his nephew, Brian, and many dear friends whose lives he touched over the years.
Ken’s family will receive friends for calling hours on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 5:00 to
8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, November 27, from 9:00 to 9:30 AM at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 27, at 10:30 AM at St.
Raphael-Holy Angels Parish, 3500 S Broad St, Hamilton Township, NJ. Burial will be private.
