MUNCIE - Wilbert F. Dobbins, 86, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2024, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.  

He was born on November 11, 1938 in Camden, NJ to Rita K. Dobbins.  He was a proud 1956 graduate of Collingswood Senior High School in Collingswood, NJ.  

Will served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1964, during which time he was stationed primarily in Germany. Will moved to Muncie, IN in 1990 and worked as a district sales manager for Ball corporation then Alltrista prior to his retirement in 2000.  

Will was a natural salesman and made friends everywhere he went.  He loved living in Muncie where he volunteered at the VFW and cherished his last few years hanging out with his buddies at the Paradise Bar and Grill. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching college basketball.  Most importantly, he was an amazing father.  

He is survived by his life partner Linda K. Johnson,  his daughter Abigail (Shaw) Dobbins, his son W. Scott Dobbins, his daughter-in-law Kim Franzen Dobbins, his grand daughters Allison Marie and Anja Grace dobbins, his niece Lauralee Dobbins and his nephew John Dobbins.
