POULIN, Rolande (née POTVIN) (1929-2024)

It is with great sadness that the family of Rolande Poulin (née Potvin) announce her passing in Sudbury, Monday November 18, 2024, at the age of 94 years. Daughter of the late Wilfrid Potvin and the late Yvonne Potvin (née Henri). Loving wife of 73 years to the late Léo Poulin.  Dear mother of Claude (Patty), Carmen (Richard) and Roger (Pamela). She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Claude, Chantal, Mathieu, Julie, Daniel, Ashley, and Natasha. As well as by her great grandchildren Eastyn, Cruise, Cassia, Jacob, Carson and Loïc. Sister of the late Jean, the late Jeanne, the late Roland, Adélard, Adèle, Lucien, Lucienne, the late Francois, Françoise, Henri, Henriette, the late Gilles, Gilberte, Simon and Simone.

Rolande was a very devoted mother and wife. She loved being a chef and shared her secrets with everyone.  She was always there to encourage us and help us overcome obstacles. She had an incredible fortitude that inspired us all.  She was happiest when surrounded by family, whom she worried about until the very end. We are left with marvelous memories and a deep love.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Roch, Dr. Leduc, Dr. Duncan, Dr. Susil and the nurses and staff on the 8th floor at HSN for their care, support and compassion.

C'est avec chagrin que la famille Poulin vous annonce le décès de leur mère tant aimée, survenu le lundi 18 novembre à Sudbury, à l’âge de 94 ans. Fille de feu Wilfrid Potvin et de feu Yvonne Henri. Épouse depuis 73 ans de feu Léo Poulin. Mère de Claude (Patty), Carmen (Richard) et Roger (Pamela). Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses petits-enfants Claude, Chantal, Mathieu, Julie, Daniel, Ashley, Natasha ainsi que ses arrière-petits-enfants Eastyn, Cruise, Cassia, Jacob, Carson et Loïc. Sœur de feu Jean, feu Jeanne, feu Roland, Adélard, Adèle, Lucien, Lucienne, feu François, Françoise, Henri, Henriette, feu Gilles, Gilberte, Simon et Simone.

Mère dévouée et attentionnée, Rolande était une cuisinière exceptionnelle qui partageait ses recettes et ses secrets. Elle a su encourager et soutenir sa famille avec la force de ses convictions, ce qui inspirait confiance. Son plus grand bonheur était de s'entourer de sa famille et elle s'inquiétait de chacun jusqu’à la fin.

Avec gratitude, la famille Poulin reconnaît le professionnalisme et les soins exemplaires de Dr Roch, Dr. Leduc, Dr. Duncan, Dr. Susil ainsi que les professionnels de la santé au 8 ième plancher de l'hôpital Horizon Santé Nord.
