Richard “Dicky” Eugene Repp Jr, 69, of Big Pool, MD passed away November 18, 2024 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Richard was born April 3, 1955 in Hagerstown to the late Doris (Poper) Repp and Richard Repp, Sr.
He worked in the welding field, most of his career was as a Certified Quality Welding Inspector for 40 years. He retired in 2019. Dicky enjoyed antique car shows, he restored several cars throughout his lifetime. He loved woodworking, motorcycles, and trains. He especially enjoyed being “Pappy” and helping his wife spoil their grandchildren. Dicky had a wealth of knowledge that his children, grandchildren and friends often utilized. He had a passion for music, especially Classic Rock and the Beatles. Dicky was a faithful parishioner of Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Clear Spring.
In addition to his parents, Dicky was preceded in death by two siblings, Sister Kathy Jones, Brother David Repp, Brother-in-law Dave Smith and his beloved granddaughter Jocelyn Rose Dunahugh.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Kathy Repp, daughters Stephanie Repp, Kristin Johnson, Sons Brad Jones (partner Hope), Daniel Jones (wife Leslie), brother Fred Repp, in-laws Barbie & Mike Hutton, John & Nancy Bagley, Bill Bagley, Ric & Robin Smith, Roberta & Hunter Nave, Kenny & Trish Myers, Tom &
Helen Bagley, Tom Lambert, 14 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church, Friday November 29, 11:00 am officiated by The Rev. Steven L. McCarty.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Andrews Episcopal Church, with Memorial Garden Fund noted on the memo line, which was originally started in honor of Richard Repp’s granddaughter Jocelyn Rose Dunahugh.
