Ruby Gilmore Obituary

Mrs. Ruby Gilmore, 95, of Port St. Joe, FL, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024. She was born on May 24, 1929 in Grey Court, South Carolina to Eldridge W. Kennedy and Mary May Blackstock Kennedy. Ruby moved to Port St. Joe in 1989 from Key West, FL. 


She is preceded in death by her husband, John V. Gilmore; her son John V. Gilmore, Jr.; and her sister, Nell.


Ruby is survived by her son, Gregory James Gilmore of Port St. Joe, FL; one grandchild, Jonathan Gilmore (Maylim) of Panama City, FL; two great-grandchildren, Jonathan Noah Gilmore and Matthew Andrew Gilmore. She is also survived by her sister's side of the family, Annie Mae Gillespie, Alice Brewington, L. Z. Kennedy, Nell Adams, and John Kennedy as well as a niece, Karen Thweatt Gibson and her side of the family.


Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. (eastern), Tuesday, November 26, 2024  at Oak Grove Church with Bro. Dave Fernandez officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery.  


Visitation will be at 12:00 noon prior to the service.
