Ky Van Truong, 65, passed away at home on November 18th surrounded by his family in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

Ky is survived by his wife, four children, granddaughter, and his dog son.

As a husband, he always spoke highly of how amazing his wife is and always showered her with love through his thoughtfulness. Everyday he would toss change into a jar and watch it accumulate slowly, and on his wife's birthday, him and the kids would go exchange the coins for money and buy her a gift. It was his favorite thing to do every year for his wife.

As a father he always wished to see his children grow up well and succeed in their careers. He was kind, loving, and always available when we needed him. Especially, when we wanted to skip out of school early, Dad would always pick us up and bail us out! He was not exactly the greatest cook, but he had his specialties that we love. He makes a mean spaghetti, marinated pork chop, and fish!

As a grandfather, he would smile foolishly as his granddaughter give him a kiss on the cheek, feed him cookies, and lovingly calling him Ong Noi.

As a friend, he was always the life of the party and loved spending his day off surrounded by friends and family, good food, and an ice cold bottle of Heineken.

He loved to garden and tended to flowers, and grew fruits and vegetables.

While he is no longer with us, even in the frost of November, our father's roses has bloom beautifully and there is 1 single yellow rose for his wife.

Services will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at The Godfrey Funeral Home, 4008 English Creek Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, NJ and again on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Cremation Services to follow at Laurel Memorial Park, Egg Harbor Township.
