Linda L. (Hunt) Lopez, 80, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois peacefully passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Services will be held, Sunday, November 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Short-Cunningham Funeral Home in Mt. Carmel, Illinois with Tara Powell officiating. A burial will be held in Highland Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be in the chapel of Short-Cunningham Funeral Home in Mt. Carmel on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

She was born to the late William Norris Hunt, Sr. and Selma Erlene Coburn on March 15, 1944, in Princeton, Indiana. She has 3 children: Gary Ray (Lana Jo) Hunt, Donna Kay (Jack) Isham, and Robert LeeRoy (Linda) Hutton who survive. Also surviving are a brother, Robert Hunt of Princeton, Indiana and a sister, Donna Sue Lamey of Fort Branch, Indiana; 8 grandchildren: Melissa (Corey) Horn, Jacky (Natalie) Isham, Jeffery (Kimberly) Isham, Jessica (Isaac) Dill, Misty Hutton, Robert Hutton, Linda Kay Young, and Emily Edwards, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Linda in death are her parents; siblings William Norris Hunt, Jr., Henry Ray Hunt, Jeannie Davis, and Jerry Hunt.

Linda loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, doing word searches and puzzles, was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, and loved her dogs. She was of the Catholic faith.
