Dolores S. Mascaro, 91, of, Rochester, NY, died Tuesday at the Aaron Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Fairport, NY. She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Mascaro, Sr., who died October 12, 2016.

Born November 5, 1933 in Dickson City PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Stella Navalany Rusek.

Dolores was a 1950 graduate of Greenfield Township High School. Prior to her retirement, she worked for ten years at Sykes Company and for ten years at Harris Communications, both of Rochester. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Rochester.

She is survived by one daughter: Lori Zappala add husband, Alfio of Rochester, NY; two sons: Joseph Mascaro, Jr. of Rochester, NY and Gary Mascaro and wife, Marilyn of Lenoir City, TN; two granddaughters: Isabella and Alexandria Zappala; one sister: Dorothy Trotta and husband, Charles of The Villages, FL; one brother: Thomas Rusek of Lenoxville, PA, and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph and Gerald Rusek; and three sisters: Carol Belcher, Pearl Elrod and Mary Ann Miller.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Pius X Church, 3615 State Route 106, Royal, PA, celebrated by Rev. Andrew Amankwaa, pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.

Arrangements were under the care of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
