Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Golden Years Long Term Care in Cambridge at the age of 101.
Predeceased by husband Frank (1970) and brother Franc Garbas (1997).
Survived by three sons: Eddy (Bev), Peter (Myra) and Mark.
Grandchildren: Matthew (Lacia), Lisa (Henry) and Cheryl (Mike).
Great-grandchildren, Logan, Kobe, Enrique, Sofia, Lyla, Isabela, Tiago and Kasha.
She emigrated to Canada in 1947 where she worked for one year at the Kemptville Agricultural College. After that year she moved to Toronto where she met and married her husband, Frank Bolta. After being widowed, she raised 3 sons on her own.
During her last few years, she lived in Kitchener and then Golden Years Long Term Care in Cambridge.
Mom was a devout Catholic and a proud Slovenian.
We wish to thank all the staff at Golden Years for the excellent care she received.
A private family funeral liturgy will take place at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery, 3204 Cawthra Road, Mississauga.
