Dilene A. Smith, age 68, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton  surrounded by her family. Dilene was born February 10, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Vivian Henry.

She was educated in the Dayton Public School System and graduated from Colonel White High School class of 1973.  She enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dilene impacted several people’s lives in such an amazing way.  She joined St. Timothy Missionary Baptist Church in 2012. She always enjoyed church services.  She worked at Lau Industries and later retired from Burlington.

She is preceded in death by her mother; son, Dant’e Smith; aunts, Helen Henry and Betty Turner.

Dilene leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 50 years, Emmett Smith Jr.; son, Emmett Smith IV (Lindsay); four granddaughters, Kaleah A. Smith, Monet Smith, Addy Walling, and Danielle Stuthard; three grandsons, Dajon Smith, Dylan Williams, andBlake Williams of Dayton; several great grandchildren; aunt, Patricia Henry; cousin, Larry Henry; along with other relatives and special friends including Sister Margaret Yancey, Debra Pugh, and LaToya Jefferson.

Funeral service 11 am Monday, November 25, 2024 at St. Timothy Missionary Baptist Church, 4466 Free Pike, Dayton, OH. Visitation 9:30 am- 11 am. Family will receive friends 10 am- 11 am.  Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home.
