MACLAREN, John “Jack” Campbell

August 30, 1924 – November 19, 2024

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of John “Jack” MacLaren on November 19, 2024 at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital in his 101st year.

Beloved husband of Audrey MacLaren (nee Ferrell) for 70 years. Jack is predeceased by his parents James and Marion MacLaren (nee Barr), as well as his siblings Isabelle, David (Vivian) and Betty (Roy). Dear brother-in-law of Velma Ferrell (late Sydney). Jack is survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

For 27 years, Jack owned and operated MacLaren Fuels by Texico Canada Limited on Lisgar Avenue West in Renfrew. In 1968, Jack and Audrey took over the MacLaren Orchard’s as 3rd generation farmers and proudly served the Ottawa Valley farm-fresh apples until their retirement in 2016.

Professional arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 10:30 am in the Zohr Family Chapel. Burial to follow at North Horton Cemetery.
