Daniel Lawrence O’Connor. Of Drewersburg, Indiana, passed away at his home on November 19, 2024 after a long struggle with cancer. Dan was born at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 23, 1936, to John F. and Esther (nee Huxell) O’Connor. That day happened to be the hottest on record for the city. He grew up in Greenhills, Ohio, and graduated from Greenhills High School in 1954. He married Arlene Kay Lang, and they moved to Springdale, Ohio. They were blessed with the children, Tim and Audrey. He worked many years at Proctor & Gamble as a millwright, and retired from there. Dan loved the outdoors, and traveling was his passion. He and Kay drove all across the country, eventually visiting 44 states. He also drove to Alaska and back in his Ford Lariat, fulfilling a life-long dream. Most of all, Dan took great pleasure and pride in his children and grandchildren, always lending a helping hand as needed. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife: Arlene “Kay”; children Tim and Audrey “Jeanie”; grandchildren Jason, Tina and Shauna; siblings Mary, Tom, and Jim. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and great grandchildren. There will be a visitation at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 3350 Chapel Road, Shandon, OH on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
