Gerald Lee Zielinski, 80, of New Carlisle, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 13, 1943 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Alex and Phyliss (Winkel) Zielinski. On September 25, 2002 he married Margaret T. Ziolkowski who survives. Gerald is also survived by one step daughter, Jennifer Borsch of Walkerton, Indiana, one step son, Christopher (Brenda) Rajski of New Carlisle, Indiana, three step grandchildren, Jenna, Grant and Lilie and one niece, Marcie Ryan. Along with his parents Gerald was preceded in death by one sister, Delphine Marazita and one brother, Eugene Zielinski.

Gerald was a United States Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. He worked at Koontz Wagner as a plant manager forty-three years.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr. South Bend, IN. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Hospice Foundation in Gerald’s honor.
