Loren G. Davis, 87, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024.  Loren was born on July 5, 1937, to Scott and Alma (Noreen) Davis in Wagner, South Dakota. Loren, the youngest of eight siblings, proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force.  He graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and went on to achieve success in computer design.  

On August 3, 1961, he married the love of his life, Marlis Duncanson, beginning a devoted partnership filled with cherished memories.  Loren and Marlis shared a love for adventure and travel, exploring the world together. Loren even learned to scuba dive, experiencing the wonders of exotic underwater locations around the globe. They both enjoyed spending time with friends and embracing new experiences wherever they went. 

Loren was a skilled handyman, always willing to lend his time and talents to family, friends and neighbors in need. Known for his generous spirit, he never hesitated to help anyone whenever he could. 

At times he was a passionate, tortured Vikings football fan. Loren also deeply appreciated warm weather, as he never liked to be cold. His warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. 

Loren is survived by his wife Marlis, two sons; Ross (Luciane) Davis and Rick (Kerry) Davis, five grandchildren; Colin (Sarah) Davis, Chase Davis, Carlyn Davis and Sydney Davis, Kayla St. Marie (Kyle), three siblings; Fern Davis, June Gentry, and Earl Davis, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Loren was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings; Fran, Wayne, Arbutus and Lyle.   

The memorial service for Loren will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, 406 1st St SW, Wagner, South Dakota.  A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.  For online condolences please visit www.valleyfh.com.  In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in his name.
