Edward Louis Brandt Jr., beloved father, grandfather, son, and friend, passed away on November 19, 2024, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at the age of 63. He was born on February 1, 1961, in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.

Ed was a proud Navy veteran who served aboard the USS Saratoga. His time in the Navy gave him countless stories that he loved to share, and his competitive spirit ensured he could outplay anyone at Scrabble. A devoted Christian, Ed was an active member of Bible Baptist Church, where he dedicated himself to service by driving the church bus and maintaining the church grounds.

Growing up in a military family, Ed experienced life in Alaska, Wisconsin, and Indiana before settling in Arkansas, where he lived for the last 32 years. He shared 27 wonderful years with his wife, Kimberly Brandt, who preceded him in death on July 25, 2020. Together, they raised two spirited boys, instilling strong values of faith and family.

Ed was an avid fisherman who could guide anyone to the best fishing spots from Arkansas to Missouri. He found joy and peace on the water, a testament to his deep connection to nature and his passion for life’s simple pleasures.

Ed is preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly; his father, Edward Brandt Sr.; his sister, Lori Brandt; and others dear to his heart. He is survived by his children, Wayne Brandt (Amanda Brandt), Kristopher Brandt, and Kelsey Brandt; his mother, Patricia Brandt; sister, Kathy Johnson; four cherished grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.

A memorial service to honor Ed’s life will be held at Phillips Funeral Home in Paragould, Arkansas, at Phillips Funeral Home on Friday 11-22-24, with visitation for family at 9:00AM, friends and family at 10:00AM, and the service will begin at 11:00AM.

Ed’s life was a testament to love, service, and faith. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
